Meet the founder
I'm Punam.
In 2008, my children had grown up and flown the nest. My home in the Kullu valley grew quieter — but my kitchen never lost its voice. Turmeric, coriander, cumin ground fresh the Himalayan way. I had spent a lifetime perfecting flavours my family adored, and that fire was still burning bright.
It was my sister Renu who first dared to say it out loud: "Why not share these flavours with the world?" The family rallied around my passion, and a dream that had lived quietly in my heart for years finally found its wings.
I started with nothing but a domestic mixer grinder, my own kitchen, and a stubborn belief that great Indian cooking shouldn't be complicated. No shortcuts. No fillers. Just the same balanced, fragrant blends I had fed my family for decades.
Today, what began as one woman's passion project has grown into something far greater. Spicerra now runs a full manufacturing unit right here in Kullu, employing 20 incredible women from the local community — passing tradition forward, one pack at a time.
